Vice-Principal

Dr. Arkanti Krishnaiah obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (1994) in Mechanical Engineering from University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1997) Specilisation in Production Engineering from University College of University Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai in the year 2006 and Post Doctoral Fellowship (2007-08) from Chungnam National University, South Korea.  He received Sudharshan Bhat Memorial Prize for the best Ph.D thesis for the year 2006 from I.I.T. Madras, Chennai. He published more than 85 research papers in various International & National journals and International & National Conferences. He is Visitor’s nominee to Pondicherry University, Puducherry. He is also a member in several selection committees of DRDO, Govt. of Telangana and AP. He served as Addl. Controller of Examinations, Exam Branch, OU during 2013-15; Chairperson, Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering (Autonomous and OU); Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University during 2015-17; He served as a Joint Secretary, Osmania University Teachers’ Association (OUTA) during 2012-16 and presently Vice-President, OUTA. He is life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME) and Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM). He visited many countries for technical paper presentations such as USA (2005), Canada (2006), South Korea (2007-08 for PDF), Australia (2010), Thailand (2014), China (2014), France (2014) and Switzerland (2014). He was a chairperson for the International Conference on Advances in Materials and Manufacturing (ICAMM-2016) held during 08-10 December, 2016 at Leonia Convention Centre, Hyderabad jointly organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, UCE, OU and DRDL Hyderabad. Also he organized National Conferences, seminars and workshops in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.  Prof. Krishnaiah has 20 years of Teaching, Research and Consultancy experience. Presently, he is Vice-Principal, University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University.
